The Korea New Zealand Business Council (KNZBC) hosted its very first Korean Executive Leaders Evening, held in alignment with the Ethnic Business Organisations Alliance, supported by the Ministry for Ethnic Communities and kindly sponsored by ANZ Aotearoa.

Korean CEOs who have been building their businesses in New Zealand and strengthening connections between Korea and New Zealand were invited to the event. KNZBC Chairman Gareth Coleman and ED Dahee Sohn formally introduced the history of the Council, its role for KNZBC members, and how they connect businesses with government.

Garry Gupta, Director, Strategic Programmes, also presented on the purpose and priorities of the Ethnic Business Organisations Alliance, and shared the Ministry's ongoing work with the business sector. Miki Lee also facilitated a Q&A session, giving the group a chance to raise business issues and explore what support might be available from government.

Having joined the Alliance as a founding member this past July, KNZBC is committed to hearing and representing the voice of Korean ethnic businesses building their presence in New Zealand.
